"Imagination is more important than knowledge..."Albert EinsteinI am not afraid to be-what-I-am, and what I am is left-wing.I have no fear to declare my politics, or to align myself to a set of ideas, ideas I believe to have been born out of the struggle for a better world... a better world for everyone...I am left-wing and proud. But there is a crisis haunting the realm of left-wing ideas and principles...we are full of questions, and sometimes we believe or know the anwers to these questions...but we have lost our imaginations.Where once we could capture the beauty and the frustration inherent in our struggle with the grace of our expressions, we have now been relegated to resembling little more than an anachronism. Our words, once imbued with the poetry of the ages, have become scholastic and academic in nature. We are fact-checkers and hand-wringers, but not poets...This cannot be. This cannot carry on...We must strive to bring the hope and enthusiasm for have for our world to bear upon our words. We need to capture the imaginations of those we meet, those we communicate with and share that most precious of commodities; our knowledge...Our desire and commitment to making the changes to our world which must be made, and before we drive ourselves to extinction, should fill the minds of others with the same joyous enlightenment with which we feel them...We must call out from within ourselves the beauty which we know we possess...and we must share it...we must allow others to taste the world that is always upon the tips of our tongues...For every mind that becomes entranced by the beauty of our ideas with become another voice, singing the sonnet of change.
