Extremely busy and ground breaking

IT department at Granada Media/YTV and 6 months sustainable lifestyle living in Portugal

What was your very first full-time job?
Farm labourer

Have you got any plans for the next 12 months you’d like to share with us?
Straw bale office building in Portugal

What do you do to relax?
Nothing at all, simply sit and be quiet

Who do you live with?
My son Max (5) and partner Julie Rose

Whereabouts do you live?
Hebden Bridge, West Yorks

If you were Prime Minister, what’s the very first thing you do?
Put a priority on people and planet rather than number and product

Have you got any guilty carbon secrets?
Run a car (it is 12 years old and a diesel)

What have you done that you were most proud of?
Helped create my son Max, founded Green ISP

What are you most concerned about in the world at large?
Human obsession with products which distract us from our true nature

Which person in the public eye do you most admire and why?
Caroline Lucas – Green Party, because she is passionate about her core values and has really brought the issues to the mainstream (watch out, new leader of GP maybe)

What advice would you give to someone wishing to embark on the same sort of work as you?
Do it because you believe in it, not because it will get you ritch, otherwise you will give up after a few years
